What’s special about The Botanist series?
- organic stipple texture which translates beautifully in print and makes the illustrations look intricate and lively. There are no perfect and uniform dots like the ones we see in contemporary printing.
- vibrant colors true to the original illustrations – in addition to the usual post-scan adjustments for brightness, contrast, vibrancy, etc. I’ve individually edited the colors of each image, so that it appears as close to the original as possible.
- crisp and clean edges that look great on both light and dark backgrounds. Each flower was carefully traced with the pen tool and separated from the paper texture.
